Science did not originally come easy for me, although I now have a degree in the field. Because of this, I strive to help other students who struggle to understand the basics first, and then get into the harder work. If they need to take a break, I fully understand the importance of that as well. People need to work at their own pace and set their own schedule so they are comfortable with learning and capable of doing the work. I do not want students to simply memorize facts. Instead, they should be striving to truly learn the important details. They need to use critical thinking to do so.I worked as an assistant to a teacher at my university, Illinois Wesleyan. While there, I earned a degree in Science for Biology. Prior to that, I went to Glenbard North, the high school where I learned to love Science. I now tutor other students in both high school and college, usually in the subjects of Biology and Chemistry. I also have vast knowledge in Anatomy, Physiology, and Nutrition. I enjoy sports and fitness in my spare time, and like to incorporate it into my tutoring work. I was an athlete throughout school, playing a variety of sports. I particularly enjoyed football and baseball, but also played basketball and even got into rock climbing and surfing.
